Diary Excerpts From an Impromptu Trip

Random and nonsensical lines taken out of context from my diary entries on this trip. Swirling words and phrases that lend themselves to neither poetry or blogging. I like the idea of being the only person who can make sense of any of it.

asphodel

black squirrel perches upon petrified bark

cottonflower blooms on its twigs

watches shooting stars descend

glitter like broken glass in the ice sun

twinkling night mirage, knees deep

self-clipped feathers scatter

and wishes heave against ivory gates

plastic pieces form the heart, a polyester soul

beyond the crown, white and grey pallet knife strokes

moss dusted with icing sugar and wisps of french vanilla warmth

4000 miles wasted on the unseeing, unfeeling

unable, not unwilling

inside, the sweet puppy eyes with the roughest bite

i want to see a moose
